WPHOC NOTES: FASNO SIGNS POSTED BY ANIT FASNY ADVOCATES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CITY WP DPW RIGHT OF WAY*** WHY DOES MAYOR ROACH TOLERATE THIS DOUBLE-STANDARD? J. Bailey, WPCNR.COM Article Feb. 02, 2012 http://wpcnr.com/article8995.html

It is evident in the photo (on WPCNR today) that these signs are posted in the City's DPW right of way. These signs appear to be posted on Ridgeway and I have also seen many others on City property as well.

Allowing these signs to remain on City property implies an endorsement of the "NO FASNY" cause and should most probably be removed. It would also be appropriate if the agency, Neighborhood Association who placed these signs be fined accordingly for using public property to endorse a private cause.

I would think this City administration would apply the same standards used when enforcing election laws or barring commercial businesses from violating the sanctity of the City's Municipal ordinances.

These signs should be removed from all City owned properties and those that may be displayed along our City's numerous roadways where they may be intruding into our City's right of way. These signs are a public disgrace, they are ugly visual pollution and those of us who use the City's public roadways should not be required to look at this visual pollution on a daily basis.

I am hopeful this Mayor's administration won't look the other way because many of the Mayor's wealthiest supporters live in this area and are anti FASNY.

It is clearly a double standard when WP Public Safety arrests one individual for taking a FASNO sign yesterday and then refused to arrest an individual; I photographed vandalizing a Glen Hockley sign posted along side of Harding Ave during the 2010 election. WPPublic Safety refused to arrest this individual for committing an actual Felony by vandalizing election signs. Here are two photos of the vandalized Glen Hockley signs. This crime was committed in the presence of WPPS Officer in Car # 37.

Perhaps, Mayor Roach can explain this double standard??? Regarding who can and cannot post signs on the WP DPW Public Right of Way? Of course Glen was running against Tom Roach when this incident occurred???*** I guess, in this case, "NO NEED TO PUNISH THIS PERPETRATOR"!!

WPHOC urges this administration to remove all these signs from the Public Right of Way and also drop all charges against the alleged perpetrator in this great FASNO sign theft!!!!! Let's hope someone can calculate the cost of this big WPPS bust in terms of wasted tax payer dollars!!

Let's get these WPPS resources up on Battle Hill writing required tickets that they havebeen observedtonormally let slide by in the past!!!!

Regards,

WPHOC Management.
